REVIEW: Jack installed our whole-house Generac gas-powered generator. But the unit was not functioning properly. I had a Generac-recommended tech come out and they uncovered 2 installation issues; one violating the national electric code and the other violating manufacturer specs. Going back to Jack to remedy the issues, here is his position: 1) The homeowner must pay for the new permit needed for their remedy to the issues 2) Jack refuses a separate site visit for inspection and backfill 3) Jack claims his incorrect wire sizing, one that differs even with an online wire size calculator, is acceptable 4) gas pipe sizing that differs from manufacturer requirements is acceptable Hire A&R at your own risk. We are having to consult the VIllage building department and a civil attorney for remedies to this fiasco.

Jack, the owner, came to the house on June 27, 2016. He was very knowledgeable about Generac generators and clearly had installed quite a few. After our meeting, he promptly sent us a proposal which I signed and returned on June 30. Jack quickly applied for the building permit and we set an install date of July 19. Because of a problem with another generator install, we rescheduled for July 26; and our generator was successfully installed today. Through this entire process, Jack was very professional. It was refreshing to deal with someone who kept in touch and showed up on time. He also walked me through everything I needed to know about the generator. What a pleasure he was to work with!

The owner, Jack and his crew, were very knowledgeable and helpful in all phases from the selection, to the install, permitting, hook up and startup. I could not have hired a more professional company. I am very pleased with my decision to hire his company for the install. I would recommend A&R again if I am in need of any future major electrical work on my house.

I was looking for someone to do an annual maintenance on my generac and found A&R thru Home Advisor. I was quoted a very competitive price and based on their positive feedbacks scheduled an appointment. Jason the technician came on time and was very knowledgeable with all the questions that i posed. I also was having a problem with flickering lights and he went beyond the maintenance check and made sure that my ground were all tight and that the circuit breakers were good. Seeing that there are a number of electricians in my family ( father,brother and son in law) I have some knowledge of electric and Jason is a very knowledgeable and qualified technician. I also want to say that it was a pleasure setting up the appointment with Jack he also seemed very professional and knew what he was talking about. I will be using A&R to do my annual maintenance on my generator and would also us them for any electrical problem that may occur.
