> "I was in dire need of work on my old A/C unit and made an appointment which unfortunately got lost in the system. I contacted One Hour and when I asked what happened was told that my service request was not in the system. I was told I could either have someone come out that evening or wait til tomorrow morning. I opted for tomorrow. When Evan arrived the next morning I immediately recognized him from previous appointments. I was glad to see him. A no nonsense guy who is very professional and good at what he does. He worked on my old freus unit for an hour and a half. When he finished he told me he replaced two major parts and there was no charge because of the appointment screw up the day before. I was so surprised and relieved I could hardly speak. Thank you One Hour and thank you Evan!"

> "Called OneHour when my furnace wasnt coming on. Check service message on the thermostat. Call for service and as always someone was here within a very short period of time.. Was a quick fix, the unit needed to be reset. Infact I learned something, and will apply this knowledge next time theres a issue and then call if the problem persists. Been with One Hour for 9 years. Evan G. , as are all the service guys , was polite and got right to the problem. Thank you Evan."

## Before you hire an HVAC contractor
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Contractor licensing in the US is set by each state (and sometimes the city or county). For electrical, plumbing, HVAC or any major build, confirm the trade is licensed on your state's licensing board before hiring. Unlicensed work where a license is required can void permits and insurance and leave you no recourse.
- Ask for a lien waiver as you pay each stage: in most US states an unpaid contractor or subcontractor can place a mechanic's lien on your home even if you already paid the main contractor, and a signed waiver is your protection.
- Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
- Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time, not only the quality of the work.
- Agree the callout fee up front, and be wary of large upfront deposits for an emergency job.
