## About
"Jacob did a great job. He was professional and on time and his price was fair. He completed 4 rooms of flooring in 1 1/2 days. He cleaned up after he was done and even left a bottle of floor cleaner. I would highly recommend Getflooredbyjacob."

## Before you hire a flooring contractor
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Contractor licensing in the US is set by each state (and sometimes the city or county). For electrical, plumbing, HVAC or any major build, confirm the trade is licensed on your state's licensing board before hiring. Unlicensed work where a license is required can void permits and insurance and leave you no recourse.
- Ask for a lien waiver as you pay each stage: in most US states an unpaid contractor or subcontractor can place a mechanic's lien on your home even if you already paid the main contractor, and a signed waiver is your protection.
- Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
- Check any credential evidence, and that the business details independently check out.
- Get a written quote and keep guarantee, insurance and payment terms in writing.
